Students are given invaluable performance experience with the Ballet West Company who tour full-length ballets. The company has performed works from the classical repertoire including "The Nutcracker", "Coppélia", "Cinderella", "Swan Lake", "Romeo and Juliet" & "Sleeping Beauty". The company also performs new work specially devised for the company. Ballet West established its reputation touring around Scotland, and in recent years has developed links with Chinese promoters and has toured throughout China in recent years. This national and international touring experience is invaluable for students as it gives a genuine taste of being a professional dancer and shows prospective employers that our students are used to performing on large stages and aware of the demands on a company dancer. This unique experience has helped to secure graduates contracts with leading ballet companies.
The company has also toured musical theatre productions, including "Fame" and "A Chorus Line". The school has numerous contacts with film and television production companies. Most notably, students have contributed to the major motion pictures "Rob Roy" and "Mrs Brown", the BBC series Dannsa and a photoshoot for Vanity Fair.
